Places to Visit

There are many things to do and see in and around the area. If sightseeing is your thing, then we have the White Cliffs of Dover very nearby, the historic Cinque Port of Hythe and the Seaside town of Folkestone. All within a short drive, well worth a visit to enjoy the great food, hostelries and shops, as well as soaking up some history with a little row on the Hythe Military Canal.  Whatever you fancy, the local area can deliver. If you wish to just relax and take in the wonderful countryside, then we are at the foot of the North Downs, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Just make sure you plan enough time to do it all.

Set in the picturesque village of Denton, just outside of Canterbury, The Jackdaw offers a warm, friendly welcome to customers visiting our contemporary bar and restaurant. Used as a setting for the famous Battle of Britain film, The Jackdaw showcases a variety of Spitfire memorabilia, especially in the Spitfire room. We have a real log fire to cosy up to during the winter months and a spacious garden to take advantage of during the summer.
